MTV News Redesign

Role: User Experience & Visual Design

Led the redesign of MTV News site from concept to execution. The goals of the project were to make the site responsive and consolidate multiple blogs into one site while meeting the needs of the millennial news consumer.

Worked with research team to understand audience behaviors and their needs in addition to competitive landscape. Early process included a co-design session with users to gain insights into their needs and news consumption habits and brainstorms with the cross-disciplinary team. I went on to create sketches to evolve ideas and gain consensus with stakeholders.

Sketches

Created low fidelity html/css prototypes to gain feedback from users and to validate concepts. By working in code instead of Photoshop for final designs, it allowed for more seamless collaboration with the development team. Went on to oversee a team of user experience and visual designers working on the overall News product.
